Brimming with great views, charming towns, and unique roadside attractions, Mississippi scenic byways are a great choice when craving a fun-filled adventure. In addition to well known routes, like the Great River Road National Scenic Byway, the state is home to some lesser-known routes, like the Gateway to History Scenic Byway, which takes drivers on a scenic tour through Mississippi history.
The Gateway to History Scenic Byway traverses rural Madison County – an area steeped in history and often revered as “one of the most beautiful areas within the state.”
