Believe it, because it’s true! This is Falling Rock Park’s The Quarry, a man-made swimming hole located in LaGrange, Kentucky.

This former rock quarry is 55+ feet deep with limited shallow areas, and offers four acres of beautiful, clear-blue water perfect for floating the day away.

Privately owned, this man-made swimming hole in Kentucky has been a favorite of locals for years now and each summer, folks come out en masse to enjoy its refreshing waters!

You’ll need to BYOF – float, that is. No alcohol is allowed. There are a few designated spots throughout the water where you can jump in, but everyone must have a float to get in the water. There are also ladders and easy beach access when you need to get out and dry off for a bit.

In order to keep the quarry safe and fun for everyone, all tickets must be purchased online in advance and a waiver must be completed before arriving at check-in, too.

While this swimming spot will make you feel like a kid on summer vacation, it’s important to note that there are actually no kids allowed here. That’s right – The Quarry is an adults-only swimming hole where big kids can let loose for once!
