Boaters are subject to a wake speed restriction, and boating licenses must be obtained from the Smyrna Police Department on Glenwood Avenue, between School Lane and New Street. It’s known for being crystal-clear and one of the most beautiful lakes in Delaware – and it’s not like we have tons of space! It’s a special treat to wander around Lake Como. It’s a delight and a half thanks to its status as a beloved place for outdoor adventures, like swimming, paddle boating, and more. It’s one of our favorite things to do in Delaware when the weather is warm, and we think you’ll fall in love with it just as hard as we did from the very first time you visit. At its deepest, Lake Como in Smyrna, Delaware is a whopping eight feet deep, making it less than ideal for things like diving or cannonballs, but still… it’s a treat to visit. Where is Smyrna, Delaware? Smyrna, Delaware, is a small town located in both Kent and New Castle counties. Smyrna is one of the best places to visit in Delaware, as one of the best places to live in Delaware; there’s a very strong sense of community here, and everyone you meet is friendly and kind. The schools in Smyrna are good and rank quite high nationally when it comes to being excellent. Even better still, Smyrna is just a hop, skip, and jump away from all sorts of amazing must-do attractions in Delaware, like Rehoboth Beach. What is the most beautiful, secluded lake in Delaware? We hate to break it to you, but as it turns out, there are no natural lakes in Delaware. That being said, we do still have wetlands, estuaries, and rivers, and we do have a few gorgeous man-made lakes in Delaware you’ll love visiting all the same. The largest lakes in Delaware include gems like Lums Pond, Trap Pond, and Silver Lake; if you’re looking for something quiet and out-of-the-way, however, you’ll want to head to somewhere lesser visited, like Lake Gerar or Pickering Beach (which isn’t technically a lake but still amazing and worth mentioning).
