Bigger isn’t always better. While America has some amusement parks that are simply enormous, these parks often come with some equally oversized ticket prices and lines that have no end. Somewhere in that long and winding line the fun can be lost, but there’s another park where everything is a little smaller, except the good times. It’s called Little Amerricka, and it’s a little gem of an attraction that every family should visit. Here’s what’s waiting for you at Wisconsin’s Little Amerricka.
The Little Amerricka amusement park is located in southern Wisconsin in the community of Marshall. While it’s tucked away in a small town, it’s not hard to reach. It’s less than an hour from Milwaukee and less than 30 minutes from Madison.

But the park is incredibly affordable and you won’t be upsold or oversold on anything. It was founded by Lee Merrick back in 1991 – hence the unusual spelling of “Amerricka.”

The park is anchored by the Whiskey River Railway, a 1/3 size railroad that travels more than three miles, passing scenic trees, a tranquil wildlife pond area, and across the Whiskey River.

There are also more than two dozen rides, with plenty of fun option for little ones. The rides include everything from a kiddie ferris wheel to kiddie coasters, miniature boats, a merry-go-round, and rides for bigger kids like a scrambler and go-karts.

You might work up a big hunger at this little amusement park, but plenty of refreshments are available, including hot dogs, hamburgers, French fries, and classic soft serve.

Little Amerricka is open seasonally, May-October. See the operating days and hours, and ticket information on the park’s website. If you love interesting family friendly attractions, here’s a mini golf course that’s exactly what your heart desires.
