Ohio may be located in the middle of the country, but that doesn’t make it entirely landlocked. There are actually many gorgeous waterways throughout the state — including Lake Erie, one of the country’s Great Lakes! That means the state is a haven for kayaking, and kayaking is a great way to see Ohio in a new light. Here’s one of our favorite trails.

One of the best parts about living in Ohio? The plethora of kayaking possibilities!

One of the prettiest and most interesting kayak trails in Ohio takes you throughout the Lake Erie Islands.

Our favorite trail is probably the Mainland Trail.

You get to see Lake Erie, Sandusky Bay, Kelleys Island and South Bass Island on this trail.

One of the highlights is when you paddle through the Great Egret Marsh Preserve.
