With all of the warm weather attractions in Connecticut, it may be hard to fathom missing winter. But for those of us who are die-hard fans of winter adventure, there is one place where you can enjoy mountain fun even under the bright warm sun. Visit Connecticut’s only summer tubing in Connecticut for an unexpected adventure!

Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort in Middlefield is known for being a wintertime hub for adventurers who enjoy the snow. But many people don’t realize that this park is open year-round and has plenty of all season activities to offer.

Powder Ridge has installed a 365 synthetic snow surface down the mountain that lets you enjoy your favorite winter sports all year long. If you don’t have enough warm winter clothing, you can probably find some items at a Connecticut Flea Market..

The 500-foot downhill run on Besek Mountain mimics the slippery surface of snow without the freezing temperatures. Its one of the things that makes coming to the resort and Connecticut so popular.

Tubing in Connecticut June 01, 2022 Lysa Allman-Baldwin How long does it take to Powder Ridge Mountain Park and Resort from New Haven? Powder Ridge Mountain Park and Resort is only about a half-hour drive from the city of New Haven. Just get on Interstate 91 north and follow it until the junction of Highway 68. From there you go east to Highway 157, then north again until you see the signage and turn off for the resort. I have been looking for summer attractions in Connecticut. Can you suggest a few? That is a long yet wonderful list! But one where you’re sure to find something that suits your particular summer fun in Connecticut needs, desires, and lifestyle. What are some of the most popular lakes in Connecticut?   Beautiful lakes are plentiful in The Constitution State, each offering its own unique environment and activities. Candlewood Lake is the largest lake in Connecticut, and Lake Lillinonah is the second largest. In New Fairfield, while enjoying popular Squantz Pond, you can also explore the adjoining state park. Where else can I go tubing in Connecticut in the winter? Connecticut residents love their winter tubing! Fortunately, there are several places where they can dive right into that beautiful white powder. Among them is Mohawk Mountain in Cornwall. What might I find if I search for kid-friendly places in Connecticut? Connecticut is a great place to be a kid (even if you are an adult acting like one!). For those who’d like to channel their inner paleontologist, there is a great spot called Dinosaur Place. Located in Oakdale at Nature’s Art Village it is “everything dinosaurs” and more. What are some of other exciting and fun things to do in Connecticut? Compared to other states in the country, although Connecticut is relatively tiny—spanning only a little over 5,500 square miles—it offers a great deal for residents and visitors alike. Check out this interesting list of fun things to do for $10 or less.
