Any Kansan in their right mind loves a good Kansas waterfall. Whether that means the local spillway or something natural, flowing water is calming to anyone, I think. The next time you’re searching for “waterfalls near me,” this one is a great Kansas attraction and there’s no reason to pass it by, since it’s so easy to visit. The best part of the trip is, you don’t have to hike anywhere to see it!
What you see here is actually a shallow area of water called Pillsbury Crossing.
Dad’s Eye View/YouTube It used to be a place for wagon travelers to cross the water without fear of losing livestock or equipment.
Today, especially after a good rain, it’s an area where you can relax near the falling water and wade through the crossing yourself.

Just southeast of Manhattan, there’s a waterfall and historic site just waiting to be explored.
KansasTravel Bring the kids, your dog, or anyone you think would enjoy the water flowing through their toes.
Once you’re here next to the water, you’ll hear nothing else.
Vincent Parsons/Flickr A lot of people wouldn’t think there were any waterfalls in Kansas, but this is one of the most popular ones. If I were to guess, it’s only this popular because it’s so easy to access.

Can’t you imagine lounging around here for a few hours? It’s simply heavenly.
There’s also another waterfall further down, though it’s a bit of a struggle to get to sometimes.

If you’ve already seen this waterfall and would like another trip to take instead, check out these amazing attractions in southwest Kansas that should never be left behind.
