The Virginia woods are brimming with beautiful waterfalls, and many of them are popular hiking destinations. Today’s feature attraction is a bit different in that it’s one very few people know about. Hone Quarry Waterfall is a hidden waterfall in Virginia that requires a bit of a hike but, by all accounts, it’s an adventure worth taking. Tucked away in Rockingham County is a beautiful, little-known hiking destination known as the Hone Quarry Waterfall. To get there, you’ll need to lace up your hiking boots.

The trek to reach the waterfall is relatively moderate, measuring a little over two miles each way.

Much of the trail is on a service road, so it’s not too rocky. If you hike during the summer, you’ll enjoy plenty of shade from the surrounding trees.
