You’ll find Hockessin in the Brandywine Valley, and it’s a charming small town that draws visitors in with history, natural beauty, and fine dining. The town is just half an hour outside of Wilmington, and it’s easy to get to from anywhere in New Castle County.

Hockessin is also well known for being home to a couple of Delaware landmarks. One of the state’s only covered bridges, the Ashland Bridge, sits right here in the heart of town.

It’s also known for being a town full of natural beauty. The Ashland Nature Center is a beautiful park and conservatory that’s the best place to spot butterflies all spring and summer long.

For anyone who loves flowers and gardening, head to the Mt. Cuba Center. This former Du Pont estate is jam-packed with native plants and flowers.
