Yinglan Z./AllTrails You will find the trailhead at the Crystal Lake parking area. However, as of summer 2022, this parking lot is under construction. You can still access the trailhead but will need to park further down the road. Be prepared for a few extra steps to reach the trailhead. Also, make sure you pay attention to the signs closely in this area as multiple hiking trails begin from this parking lot.

While the trail is quite easy, pay attention to your footing. There are some rocky areas on the path and many roots that make the trail uneven.

Ashley Knibbe/AllTrails If you plan to hike to Wall Lake and spend some time near the body of water, make sure to bring plenty of bug spray as the mosquitos can become quite thick on the trail and near the lake.

Wall Lake is known for a large rock wall on one side of the lake. This wall provides quite a beautiful backdrop but it also has become a popular place for cliff jumpers. If you are brave enough to jump into the water, make sure you brace yourself for a chilly entry. The water in this lake is not known for being warm!
