Hike And Then Enjoy A Swim At Kilgore Falls In Maryland

Nothing says summer like a good old-fashioned swimming hole. The following one in the Old Line State is a short hike to reach, and is actually located at the base of a waterfall. The parking area for the waterfall swimming hole requires reservations during summer weekends. There are only 28 parking spots available so be sure to get your weekend pass by clicking here.

From the parking area, the hike to the falls is only a half-mile. It’s bumpy and rocky, so keep in mind that’s it’s not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.
