The weather is still a bit frigid, but spring is here. Start planning your sunny adventures now! One of the most colorful hikes in the state is little known so we’re highlighting it today. Prepare for flowery sights galore and be sure to bring your camera.
The C & O Canal is 184.5 miles in length. It’s great for visiting throughout the seasons but spring is when things get really beautiful.

Also be on the lookout for wildlife. Hundreds of butterflies flutter around to collect nectar and you may even spot a hummingbird moth (pictured below).
