Part of the Naperville Park District, Centennial Beach is a seasonal swimming hole with clean, crisp water that’s perfect for cooling off on a hot summer’s day.

Centennial Beach is actually a former quarry that was active until 1913. At that time, a natural spring below started to fill the large hole.

In 1932, the quarry and the land surrounding it was developed into a swimming facility. A bathhouse was also built using limestone mined from the quarry. This became known as Centennial Beach.

Today, Centennial Beach remains a one-of-a-kind place to swim and for families to hang out and enjoy some fun in the sun.
