It’s beautiful area, but most people would never think to look for such a pristine swimming hole on Cape Cod so close to the major attractions of downtown Hyannis. This might be why Hathaway’s Pond stays relatively peaceful even until June, while many of the larger Cape Cod ponds and beaches are swamped with tourists by May.

There are quite a few grills and picnic tables dotting the shore, and plenty of space to spread a blanket. The water is warm enough to swim even in the early morning and you can also kayak, canoe, paddle board, and fish here.
