Green Ridge State Forest is located in Western Maryland, nestled between Flintstone, Little Orleans, and stretching all the way down to the West Virginia border.

According to the official DNR website, this forest is the largest contiguous block of public land in Maryland. There are endless places to explore within its 49,000-acres.

Green Ridge State Forest is home to over 50-miles of hiking trails, as well as trails just for mountain biking. You’re also allowed to go horseback riding here on designated paths, as well as off-roading.
