Funtown/Splashtown USA has been a go-to destination for Maine families to have a fun day together. With amazing rides, thrills, and plenty of ways to cool off, this theme park really is one of the number one places to go in the summer. A new development however seems to be arising for this popular theme park. It looks like there is a new attraction in Funtown coming in 2023…
Many people make a day of Funtown/Splashtown USA in the summer. It is a very busy and well-attended theme park for good reason. Lots of rides and family fun can be had by all.

Among all of the busyness found in Maine’s number one theme park, a sign was put up.

The sign’s red letters and ominous treeline background hint at something long lost to the park. Something in its history that people have been begging for again…
The park used to host an attraction from 1986 to 1996 called the Haunted Mansion.

They had to close the attraction because it was deemed too high risk.
Ceona Hebert/ Facebook The building was burned down and the lot stood vacant for years until Splashtown was opened. For those long years since it was lost to us, many have positioned for a new one. We were left with just our memories of this terrifying place.
Now with a new sign above the arcade new hope arises. They very well could be cooking up something truly terrifying well we wait to see the big reveal.

For now, were are left to speculate what kind of wonders Funtown will conjure up.
