We all have that favorite memory of a local ice cream shop where your family gathered together over a delicious frozen treat. The delight and excitement as the car rolls into the parking lot of the ice cream parlor still brings back vivid memories. We know of a place just like that, but it’s not just ice cream – it’s a unique twist on snow cones in Memphis, Tennessee.

Jerry’s Snow Cones are famous now, but it all started from humble beginnings.

Scarlet/ Tripadvisor Jerry’s was once a gas station in the ’20s, and as the parents had their cars worked on, the station owners would make snow cones for the kids. The building later became a carwash and snow cone shack in the ’60s. Fast forward to today and Jerry’s has become known far and wide for its snow cones. The original establishment was even featured in the movie Great Balls of Fire.

Jerry’s Snow Cones were so good that the little business could no longer contain the overflow of greatness and had to open up a second location in Cordova.

You can bite into the classic ’70s burger or get a taste of good old Memphis BBQ with the Bacon Barbeque Burger. There are also delicious treats like funnel cakes and churros.
