We’re a little spoiled by our scenic drive options here in Washington, which is how we prefer it. At any given time, we can cruise down the coast, zip through the mountains, or drive alongside the mighty Columbia River, not to mention all the splendor of the Palouse Scenic Byway.

But if you’re in need of a short and sweet road trip with some stunning and diverse scenery, just explore the iconic Chuckanut Drive. This route hugs the beautiful Samish Bay as it takes you up to one of Bellingham’s most charming neighborhoods, and every bit of the drive is scenic.
