We have another building in Florida that resembles Hogwarts, but just with a little St. Augustine style thrown into the mix. We’re talking about the delightful architecture from Flagler College in St. Augustine.

While many of us wish we could be wizards and attend the infamous Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from the Harry Potter franchise, alas, we’re out of luck. But perhaps there is another option - Flagler College in St. Augustine.

With the main building that is very reminiscent of Hogwarts (of course with tropical flair thrown in the mix), this campus does not disappoint.

Hogwarts style has been dubbed Medieval Gothic, combining several architectural styles including - Gothic Revival, Gothic, and Norman Romanesque. Meanwhile, Flagler College encompasses more of the Spanish Renaissance architecture, which replaced the Medieval Gothic style, but still took elements from it.

While Flagler College focuses more on Spanish Renaissance architecture, we couldn’t help but notice some interesting similarities to Hogwarts. First and foremost, each of the buildings has very tall spire-like features jutting into the sky.

Secondly, the interior of the building at Flagler College is giving off some serious Great Hall energy. Picture floating candles and house banners adorning these walls!
