Summer is here (although in most parts of Colorado, it feels like it has already arrived!), which means it is time to begin thinking about all of the things you want to see and do during this glorious season! For us, it is to attend as many festivals and events as possible, especially the quintessential FIBArk in Colorado:
Taking place Thursday, June 16, through Sunday, June 19, 2022, FIBArk is an annual Colorado festival that invites guests to take in the season’s “First in Boating on the Arkansas.”

Taking place in downtown Salida, FIBArk has something fun for everyone, beginning with tons of excitement along the Arkansas River via a Hooligan Race on paddleboards, a Downriver Race (billed the “the longest, oldest, most prestigious and perhaps the toughest race in North America,”), and the Colorado Stand Up Paddleboarding Championships.

While the events on the Arkansas bring in the crowd, it’s the additional festivities that make it even more unique, like that of the Downtown Bowl Bash and Skateboard Competition.

As if you needed another reason to visit, FIBArk also has a Kid’s Oasis just for the littles and live music!
