Keeping the whole family happy, especially when we’re looking for something fun to do, can certainly pose a challenge. Falling Branch Trail, a waterfall trail in Maryland, just might be the perfect answer to that age-old question, “what do you want to do?” A family-friendly trail the whole family will love, the popular trail also offers a pretty cool surprise. Tucked in Rocks State Park in Jarrettsville, Falling Branch Trail leads straight to Kilgore Falls, which cascades down 17 feet.

The 1.3-mile trail can get pretty busy, especially on a pretty day, so just be prepared for the crowds. Your best bet is to visit early in the day, so you can snag a spot in the small parking lot.
