Red Rock Canyon Adventure Park was formerly a state park but was taken over by the Oklahoma Department of Tourism and Recreation and leased to the city of Hinton. The park features 310 acres and is a hidden gem about an hour west of Oklahoma City.

Lace-up those hiking boots because there are two hiking trails in the park that travel through a forest, along the canyon rim, and one that follows the path of an old pioneer trail.

The trails are rated as moderate due to steep inclines but you can go on past the more difficult areas so they are easier.

If you hike to the top of the canyon rim, the views are breathtaking. Just be sure not to get too close to the rim as the ground can be unstable and dangerous.

During the summer months, Red Rock Canyon Adventure Park hosts special events including outdoor movie nights.
