Alabama is home to many unique attractions, including several with historical significance. One of these attractions in particular is the USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile. To learn why this park is a must-visit for history enthusiasts, take a look below.

The USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park’s main feature is the USS ALABAMA, a WWII battleship that retired in 1962. After schoolchildren helped raise money to save it, it was preserved and relocated to Mobile Bay in 1964.
