If you’re looking for a beautiful, short, easy trail near Syracuse that’s accessible to everyone, then you’re going to love the Labrador Pond Boardwalk Loop at the Labrador Hollow Unique Area. This short loop is boardwalk all the way and only has 13 feet of elevation gain, which means anyone can enjoy it – including people in wheelchairs and kids in strollers. The Labrador Hollow Unique Area is about 20 miles south of Syracuse in the Kettleball State Forest. It was established in 1978 and it was New York’s first designated Unique Area.

This area includes the beautiful 50 foot high Tinker Falls and 102-acre Labrador Pond. It’s open year round for hiking, hunting, fishing, nature viewing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.
