As one of the largest stargazing events in the United States, the Okie-Tex Star Party boasts views that are unforgettable. Close to Black Mesa State Park in the remote northwest corner of Oklahoma, the sky is darker and the stars are brighter than most places on earth. Camping under the stars has never been so fun.

Every September, thousands of people from around the whole world gather at the Okie-Tex Star Party. This year the star party will be held at Camp Billy Joe, close to Black Mesa State Park. Located in the extreme northwest corner of Oklahoma, this event is known as one of the best stargazing events of the year that never disappoints.

The 2022 event will take place from September 23 to October 1. You can pitch a tent under the stars at Camp Billy Joe or Black Mesa State Park, or reserve a room in Kenton, close to Black Mesa.
