Enjoy A Remote Trail In Oklahoma At Inspiration Point Loop

If so, head to Roman Nose State Park to Inspiration Point Loop Trail, a 5.6-mile trail with stunning canyon views that offers peace and tranquility you just can’t find in many places. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the great outdoors and relax in nature.

Roman Nose State Park is one of the original seven state parks in Oklahoma. It’s located northwest of Oklahoma City in the town of Watonga. It’s situated in a gorgeous canyon with surrounding rock cliffs and natural springs and offers four hiking trails.

Inspiration Point Loop is one of the hiking trails in the park. It’s rated as moderate and is just under 6 miles long.

This trail goes by Boecher Lake, Boecher Lake Dam, Watonga Lake, and Watonga Lake Dam.

But you’ll also go up the canyon and have gorgeous views of the surrounding topography. There’s a bench at the top where you can sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.

The hike will take you about 2 hours to complete and is open year-round. It’s a very remote trail so you won’t see very many people on your hike.

The four trails are interconnected so if you want to discover a hidden waterfall, venture off to Three Springs Trail where you’ll find a waterfall tucked away inside a cave.
