We’re famous for our beaches in New Jersey. With around 140 miles of shoreline, there are plenty of spots to enjoy some sun and waves. One of our favorites of the many beaches in New Jersey is the stunning Seven Mile Beach. This area tends to be a little less crowded than some of the other South Jersey beaches, and it is more family-oriented and less flashy than somewhere like, say, Atlantic City. There are lots of events in the area to enjoy, making it one of our favorite day trips along the shore.

Seven Mile Beach is tucked away on a seven-mile-long island that houses the towns of Avalon and Stone Harbor. The beach is mostly flat and the sand is so pristine!

Seashell hunters will find plenty to enjoy, and you’ll likely spot a few crabs scurrying around as the waves roll in.

The beach’s flat pathways make it a great spot for runners. Sand allows for a much softer landing than pavement, so exercising on sand can be easier on your joints.

Some areas of the beach have scenic dunes.

The beach’s relative flatness means that even when the tide is low, you have plenty of room to walk in the waves without having to worry about suddenly losing your footing.

There’s no boardwalk on Seven Mile Beach, but there are plenty of cute little shops not far from the shore line.
