Here in California, we are no stranger to gorgeous lakes. With more than 3,000 named lakes around the entire state, there are plenty of beautiful bodies of water to explore. One of our favorites is Castaic Lake. Located north of Santa Clarita, you’ll find beautiful water, incredible views, and a list of recreational opportunities that will keep your entire family smiling.

This area is unique because it is actually divided into two areas: Upper Lake and Lower Lake.

If you want to enjoy quiet and relaxation on the water, head to Lower Lake. While this area also offers a boat launch for non-gasoline boats like kayaks and canoes, you will also find a swim beach and picnic areas.
