This small town outside of the Rocky Mountains is known for its small-town feel and proximity to excellent outdoor activities. Adrenaline junkies love to base their Colorado explorations from Carbondale, as Aspen is just a quick drive away for epic skiing. But the fun doesn’t stop when the winter season ends — bikers, trail runners, extreme skiers, and whitewater paddlers will all rejoice when the warm weather arrives and more fun things become available to do outside. Is Carbondale, Colorado a good place to live? We think so! Carbondale is an excellent location in the state of Colorado, as you are only a two-hour drive from Denver. The town may be small at 6,658 people,  but there’s a thriving downtown community in their historic district, and the restaurants and arts community is highly regarded in the state. As Aspen becomes more saturated, more and more people are becoming interested in the feisty and fun community of Carbondale.
