Blackridge Reservoir has everything you need to make your summer complete — water, trails, grassy areas, and more. Blackridge Reservoir is located on South Ashland Ridge Drive in Herriman. You’ll feel like you are at the beach, rather than tucked away in a neighborhood when at this body of water.

This reservoir is not large, but you won’t mind as there is still plenty to do and see during your visit. Swimming is one of the most popular activities at this Utah reservoir and you can float, splash, or swim all around.

While you can always spend your day in the water, you can also float on top. Bring a kayak, paddleboard, or even a tube and enjoy your time in the sunshine and fresh air.

You can also sit on the sandy beach and build a sandcastle. However, the sand is quite coarse and water shoes are recommended to make your time on the beach a little more comfortable.

And, if the sand is a little too rough, head to the grassy areas around the reservoir. Here, you will find benches and tables, perfect for a picnic.

If you want to stretch your legs and explore this man-made swimming hole in Utah even more, how about a walk? A short 0.4-mile loop trail will take you all around the reservoir. This trail is flat and well-maintained, making it a delightful adventure for the entire family.
