For a big city, Austin is surprisingly walkable. Almost every street in town has a sidewalk, and you’ll see pedestrians and bicyclists enjoying the outdoors at all hours of the day. One of the best ways to explore Austin is on the Lady Bird Lake Trail, also known as the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail. A 10-mile loop, the trail leads through the heart of downtown and around one of the most famous waterways in the Capital City.
Austin’s Lady Bird Lake is an outdoor recreationist’s dream, and this paved loop trail takes you all the way around it for an incredible adventure.
