There is one dangerous nature spot in Massachusetts that happens to be a wildly popular place. However, this particular locale harbors a dark and terrifying secret.
On the border of Massachusetts and New York, you will find Bash Bish Falls State Park. And in this 424-acre state park, you’ll find the highest waterfall in the state.

While the trek to get here is quite easy via a two-mile out-and-back trek through Bash Bish Falls State Park, if you’re not careful at the waterfall, things can go awry.

Surrounding the falls and the pool below are rocks that can be quite treacherous especially when wet. People have slipped, fallen, and hurt themselves (or worse) here.

In fact, it’s quite easy to slip and fall if you’re not too careful. Exercising extreme caution here is paramount. Over the past century, there have been at least 25 deaths at Bash Bish Falls.

Several tragic and accidental drownings in the pool below the falls have occurred. Because of this, swimming is prohibited. While Bash Bish Falls is absolutely gorgeous, please be careful when you visit, wear proper footwear, and do not attempt to swim.
