It all began in 1898 when a man by the name of Vincenzo Guarino arrived in Cleveland’s Little Italy to live with his relatives.
Guarino’s Cleveland With the money he saved working as a road worker, Guarino opened up a pool room and tavern with his wife, Mary, who would prepare home-cooked meals for friends and family that would visit. The food was so delicious and the atmosphere was so inviting that it was only natural that the space transformed into a restaurant!
Step inside today, and you’ll find that the atmosphere at Guarino’s continues to be just as warm and inviting as it was 100 years ago. That’s probably because the kitchen is still run by family friends of the original Guarinos.
