When it comes to waterfalls, the Natural State has many of them. Some more spectacular than others, but still worth seeing. However, swimming is prohibited at some of these waterfalls. So, isn’t it great when you find a hidden gem with the best of both worlds? Well, there is a tiered waterfall and swimming hole tucked inside the Ozarks that you must add to your summer bucket list.

Located about five miles outside of Boston off Country Road 3415, Kings River Falls is one of Arkansas’ best kept secrets.

The trail can be a bit tricky to find, so use this interactive map to get you there. It is much easier to find the trailhead if you drive from Boston.

Once you locate the trail, the one-mile trek is fairly easy to navigate, with no change in elevation. And the best part is, it’s dog and kid friendly.

This waterfall and swimming hole is a photographer’s dream. Between the interesting, tiered rocks, and the seafoam green water, it makes it a perfect haven for some beautiful images.

And though the falls aren’t the biggest, they make the ideal backdrop for photo ops, especially when the river is flowing.

Due to its seclusion inside the Boston Mountains, you might believe you won’t see many people around. But that is not always the case, as the swimming hole can get pretty crowded.

While it’s fun to be in the midst of a lot of people having a good ol’ time, it’s quite nice when you can have this oasis all to yourself.

Because the cliffs are only about 10 feet tall, it makes it perfect to jump off them. Both adults and kids enjoy this fun activity.

Pack a picnic basket and take your entire family and spend the whole day basking in the beauty of the falls and swimming hole.

The swimming hole and waterfall are great to visit any time of year. But the summer offers the greatest rewards because you can enjoy the water, the beauty of the trail, as well as the falls when they are in full flow.
