When you’re looking for a magical outdoor experience in the Beaver State, you never have to travel very far. There’s a recreation site in the Oregon Coast Range that offers pretty trails, a gorgeous waterfall, and shady campsites. Check out Alsea Falls Recreation Site:
Alsea Falls Recreation Site is tucked away in the Oregon Coastal Range, just 14 miles west of Monroe. The Bureau of Land Management oversees this pretty spot that’s open for camping from May through September every year.

Whether you’re just visiting for the day, or staying overnight, there’s plenty to see and do here. The recreation site offers drinking water, vault toilets, hiking trails, and plenty of natural beauty.

The trail is an easy stroll through the forest. It’s 2.4 miles out and back, with an elevation change of just 295 feet along the way.
