One such town charming town in Massachusetts is Adams, which is full of history and is named after a prominent historical figure.
Located in the northern part of the Berkshires, the town of Adams is located close to Pittsfield. It is also home to just over 8,000 residents.

Founded in 1778, Adams, as you may have already known or guessed, is named after the famous Revolutionary War leader, Samuel Adams. Adams was also a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

The town of Adams has had quite the history. It was once part of an area known as “East Hoosac” before it was incorporated in 1778. Over time, it was settled by Quakers and Susan B. Anthony was born here. (Be sure to check out the Susan B. Anthony Museum when you visit!)
