Restaurants In Oklahoma That Are Hard To Get In May 11, 2021 Melissa M What are the most popular restaurants in Oklahoma? The Sooner State has some incredible restaurants and one such place that’s both incredible and popular is Cattlemen’s Steakhouse in Oklahoma City. Their aged steaks alone are worthy of a spot on anyone’s bucket list. Along Route 66 in Stroud, you’ll find The Rock Cafe, a popular spot that inspired some elements of the Disney/Pixar film Cars. What food is Oklahoma known for? Oklahoma is most famous for its bbq and is home to some of the best bbq joints in the country. Chicken fried steak, which is a breaded and deep-fried piece of beefsteak, is also a popular choice for locals. As for dessert, fried pie, which is essentially a fruit-filled turnover, is the iconic choice. Does Oklahoma have any themed restaurants? The Parrot Steakhouse and Grill in Grove has a tropical theme offering a relaxed atmosphere. With lake views, tiki huts, and tropical music, you will certainly feel as though you are on an island instead of in Oklahoma. In Hugo, Angie’s Circus City Diner may not look like much from the outside, but inside is decorated with circus memorabilia, including vintage posters and photographs. One last themed restaurant we will leave you with is The Cow Calf-Hay in Edmond which has, as you’ve probably already guessed, a cow theme! Enjoy your burgers and hand-spun milkshakes amidst all the cow decor in this quirky and delicious eatery.
