The lack of shade may be a bother during the hotter months, but hikers visiting in May or June should be quite comfortable. This hike is kid-friendly, so bring the little ones!

This hike is perfect for families with strollers or casual hikers, as there is no rough terrain and the path is mostly level. Note that the path itself is not wheelchair-friendly, as the boardwalk doesn’t extend for the entire length of the hike. However it is one of the best kid-friendly hikes in Massachusetts.

That may seem like a trek, but the trail doesn’t gain much elevation and offers a gorgeous river and waterfall for very minimal effort. Keep an eye out for the pretty stone bridges for which the trail is named.
