Best Hikes In Wyoming April 15, 2022 SKS What are the best hikes in Wyoming? There is little debate that Wyoming is one of the best states for hiking in the country. Simply nothing prepares to the incredible, untouched land that covers the state. Whatever type of hiking you enjoy, we guarantee that our lovely state has something for you, and wanted to share some of the best hikes in Wyoming. Mystic Falls, Fairy Creek and Little Firehole Loop This hike may have a long name, but it’s actually a pleasant 3.5 mile loop trail in Yellowstone National Park. Mystic Falls, Fairy Creek, and Little Firehole Loop will take you up canyons where you can see roaring waterfalls, steam vents, cliffs, and views of the beautiful Yellowstone land below. The hike starts bringing you over Firehole River, which has steam rising off it during colder months. You’ll then walk along a raised boardwalk where you will hit the official trailheads for Mystic Falls. From there, you should start heading up to the waterfall, and we recommend continuing up the trail as far as you can. After exploring the area around the falls, you can return back to the starting trail and continue your loop in the same direction. Upper Geyser Basin and Old Faithful Observation Point Loop Our next hike is also in Yellowstone National Park. The Upper Geyser Basin and Old Faithful Observation Point Loop is a 5 mile hike that will take you high above the Upper Geyser Basin. From here, you have the best vantage point to watch the eruption, from high above the crowds below. Old Faithful is one of the most famous geyser and thermal feature in the parks, and seeing it from above is really something else! You won’t regret the uphill climb for an experience this unique, and it will also make for a great photo opportunity!
