This three-mile trail winds through forests that feel wild and remote, with babbling streams and beguiling footbridges adding a fairy tale ambiance to the experience. What awaits at the end of three miles is a stunning, clear-blue swimming hole surrounded by lush foliage that’s a true Georgia oasis. As such, it may be a bit crowded at first, but if you hike down away from the usual drop in spot, you’ll find more privacy and more empty pockets to swim in. 10/10, would recommend! But once you’re knee-deep in the Beech Bottom Trail, enjoying the rushing water of Jacks River, plus all the wildlife around you, the handful of miles it takes to get to the falls will seem like nothing.
