With more than 45,000 acres to explore, there are all types of activities to enjoy from checking out the petroglyphs to hiking. Plus, you must take the time to see the world-renown Elephant Rock. This unique rock formation looks just like an elephant with its trunk touching the ground. There are also many lesser-known state parks in Nevada that deserve a spot on your bucket list. For example, Echo Canyon State Park in Pioche is an excellent day trip or you can stay overnight in one of the two campgrounds. This state park sits adjacent to a 35-acre reservoir where you can fish, swim, and just enjoy a little sunshine. In addition to visiting the incredible state parks in Nevada, check out some of the weird and unusual things that you can only find in the Silver State.
